Our latest auction is anchored by European expressionism and Post-Cubism, featuring atmospheric scenes by František Zdeněk Eberl, Oskar Kokoschka, and Claude Venard. This transitions into a strong international segment showcasing Latin American masters Oswaldo Guayasamín and Siron Franco. A major highlight here is Colin McCahon’s Uruwera #7 (1969), a stark, textural landscape in sand and synthetic polymer paint. This sits alongside an exceptional early work by Romanian painter Victor Man: an intimate 2000 oil-on-linen self-portrait gifted directly from the artist to the present owner.

A significant feature of the catalogue is a dedicated section from the Collection of Frank Cohen (Lots 79-95), offering mid-century and contemporary masterworks including monumental sculptures by Jake & Dinos Chapman, expressionist paintings by John Copeland, and a solid bronze by Jim Dine. The sale concludes with striking contemporary and sculptural works by Philip Colbert, Bradley Theodore, and Lorenzo Quinn.
