Nature – as an art form, as inspiration to create art – is celebrated in its full diverse glory in this, our second Art of Nature auction.
Inspired by the natural world, we present a sale spanning photographs and books, jewellery and silver, bronzes and geodes.
While nature’s ‘first green is gold’, it is also the intense blue of a lapis lazuli specimen, the rich hues of flowers in an Old Master still life, the glimmering gilt on a bronze sparrow’s plumage, and the attractive grain of a blonde river turtle’s shell.
Highlights include an important collection relating to naturalist, photographer and inventor, Cherry Kearton,
As well as works from Jean-Baptiste Oudry, Dylan Lewis, Natasha Kissel, Alfred Dunhill, and Stuart Devlin.
