Chiswick Auctions’ forthcoming coin and banknote sale will offer a wide range of coins featuring English hammered, milled and world coinage. Some of the highlights include groats from Edward IV and Henry VI, two opposing belligerents in the Wars of the Roses, a “so-called dollar” from William Jennings Bryan’s failed 1896 US presidential campaign and a superb, as-struck gold Prithvi Bir Bikram, 1901 gold tola - a scarce Nepalese coin. The auction will also feature a number of British gold, colonial and historic world coins.
