11/12/2014 Chiswick Curates
On Tuesday December 16th we will be holding
our final sale of the year -
Fine and Vintage Wines and Spirits starting at 5pm,
following the General sale which will start at 12 noon.
Amongst the 600 lots, we have a half-case of Chateau Latour from 1959 and 50 bottles of Margaux from the 1950s through to the 1980s. A fabulous selection of heart-warming reds.
Additionally there are cases of Port from the 1970s and 80s, a large collection of unusual miniatures and some fine and rare cigars.
Our favourite lot is an exceptionally rare bottle of Irish pot still whiskey (whiskey distilled from a mixture of malted and un-malted barley) dating back to 1916.
And finally we have 24 bottles of vintage champagne, including Dom Perignon, Cristal and Tattinger. Now they would make the New Year toast at midnight extra-special – roll on 2015 and more fantastic sales!

This week, we had some good results in our Fine Antiques and Arts sale. The 'Arts and Crafts' open bookcase cabinet from Liberty of London and the oil on panel 'Montmartre' attributed to Algernon Talmage both sold well.
The selection of silver Garrard & Co. objects commemorating the Queen's silver Jubilee were split across four lots and were all well received.
Coming up, we're looking forward to our Christmas break!!! Our last day of business is Friday December 19th and then we re-open on Friday January 2nd 2015.
Our first General sale will take place on Tuesday January 6th and the first specialist sale will be Jewellery and Watches on January 13th.
