On Tuesday February 17th we will be holding
a sale of Toys, Dolls and Teddy Bears, starting at 12 noon.
It will be followed by Fashion, Furs and Textiles,
and then the General sale.
We know it's a bit of a mixture, but there's bound to be something interesting for everyone! And to add to the excitement we will be welcoming the team from BBC Flog It! who will be filming here.
Everyone's favourite - the Teddy Bear - features as lot 113; a Steiff blonde mohair with button and centre seam. Est. £1,800 - £2,000. And in the fashion lots we love this pair of vintage Texan beaded fancy cowboy gloves, with bright floral beading and fringing. Est. £80 - £120. The catalogue is online now - click here.
On Tuesday this week, our first Asian sale was a huge success making over £125,000 inc BP. Particularly good results were achieved in the fields of cloisonné, paintings, bamboo carving, porcelain and scholar’s objects. The star of the auction was lot 73, a cloisonné enamel loop eared tripod incense burner. Attributed to the Ming Dynasty, this piece sold for £36,000 inc BP.
Coming up, the popular 20th Century and Contemporary Design sale returns on Tuesday 24th February, with Medals and Militaria on 3rd March and the Fine sale on 10th March. There is a Jewellery sale on 17th March - a must for anyone who proposes on Valentines Day this weekend.
We accept consignments up to 3 weeks before each Specialist sale, and every week for our General sales. Click here for the calendar.
