Around the world in great style!

On Tuesday March 3rd we will be holding a sale of
Medals and Militaria, starting at 12 noon.
It will be followed by the General sale.

We have three great ‘story’ lots in the Medals and Militaria sale on 3rd March, which take us from the Far East to Czechoslovakia on a Royal Yacht.

Lot 64 is an album and notebook remembering service in Japan during a 23 year naval career.
Lot 31 is a fabulous time capsule containing memorabilia from a Czechoslovakia RAF pilot, recording his short and quite tragic life.
And lots 74 and 75 are items which represent a long career as an Engineer Artificer aboard the Royal Yacht Victoria & Albert.

There is also a strong German section with visor caps, helmets, medals and equipment, and a good selection of Japanese katanas, swords and other weapons.              The catalogue is online now - click here.

On Tuesday this week, our sale of 20th Century and Contemporary Art and Design contained 300 lots and delivered a total hammer price of £75,600 including Buyer’s Premium.
The auction room was lit up with a number of key pieces doing extremely well. As anticipated the Rene Lalique glass vase sold well, achieving a total of £3,720 incl Buyer’s Premium. And buyers enjoyed the rare treat of having three Baghdad table lamps available in one sale - the black sold for £1,920 incl Buyer’s Premium, the red for £1,680 incl Buyer’s Premium and finally the white selling for £1,800 incl Buyer’s Premium.
