A stunning selection of Asian Art

Next week, on Tuesday 1st September at 11am we are holding a sale of
Asian Art, followed by the General sale.

 

The sale includes exciting material for seasoned collectors, dealers and enthusiasts alike. The auction will feature more than 250 lots of Chinese, Japanese, Indian and South East Asian objects across a wide range of material and styles including jades, bronzes, porcelain, cloisonné enamel, paintings, snuff bottles and textiles.

 

Amongst the highlights of the sale is Lot 170, A CHINESE SILK EMBROIDERED DRAGON TEXTILE. Ming, Wanli. Est: £800 - £1,200. Colourfully woven with a five-clawed dragon striding above turbulent waves floating with auspicious emblems, amidst wispy clouds, and reserved on a red silk ground. Provenance: ex Spink. ??? ??????

Lot 170 Asian Art 1st Sept

 

The General sale will take place after the Asian Art auction and is certainly worth a look. We have a variety of quirky and interesting items including Lot 445, an aviation style aluminium chair with white leather lining. Estimate: £350-£450.
