A FINE TABRIZ RUNNER, NORTH-WEST PERSIA

The soft red field with overall diagonal rows of stylised floral boteh motifs. In an ivory border of angular flowering vine border between reciprocal and plain stripes, approx: 475cm. x 85cm. Very good example for this type with unsual design, more associated with west persian weaving. This runner has very good pile, soft wool quality. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends with short fringes, secured. Very good furnishing size, long and narrow, sought after at present market. In general this runner is in very good condition. Attractive piece. Signature cartouche at one end,
