An early 20th century Indian Colonial silver mounted Burmese coconut honey pot, Madras circa 1910 by Peter Orr and Sons

The body formed as a carved and pierced coconut with six vignettes, one carved with a chinthe, the others with figures one carrying a yoke, all reserved with pierced foliate scrolls. Silver mounted rim and foot, the silver lid with a caved and pieced coconut section, surmounted by a detachable knop finial. The interior with a pull-out cylindrical liner. The side with a honey or preserve spoon hook. The base of liner marked P ORR & SONS MADRAS, SILVER.

Height – 13.8 cm / 5.35 inches
