An early 20th century Ceylonese (Sri Lankan) silver lime box, Kandy circa 1930
Of shaped oblong form upon four ball feet. The domed hinged lid with chased decoration of a rosette reserved with foliate scrolls. The sides with similar chased decoration. The underside with a flat chased circular cartouche with scalloped edge, reserved with foliate scrolls. Marked to the base interior with lion rampant sinha mark and KAA (Kandyan Arts Association).
