A PAIR OF VERY FINE KASHAN RUGS, CENTRAL PERSIA

Each, approx: 203cm. x 139cm. and 205cm. x 137cm. Very elegant pair of rugs, great example for this type and seldom found in the sales woven in pair. Apart of tiny wear to the pile on the edge of one corner on one rug, both pieces have full pile, soft and lustrous wool quality. Design is well drawn. Very good colour combinaton. Very fine weave, approx: 8 x 7 knots per sq. cm. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes, slightly fraying. In general, both rugs are in very good usable condition. Attractive and very good furnishing pieces.
