FRANCISQUE JOSEPH DURET (FRENCH, 1804-1865): A BRONZE FIGURE OF A NEAPOLITAN YOUTH ENTITLED 'IMPROVVISATORE' the semi clad Neapolitan youth playing a mandolin, his head leaning forward and his hair dressed with fruiting vines a coopered grape pickers barrel filled with drapery and fruit to his left side, on square base, inscribed to the base IMPROVVISATORE and signed to the rear 'Duret', mid to dark brown patination, 54cm high Provenance: Bonhams, The Knightsbridge sale, 29th June 2004, lot 262.
