The case of rectangular form with scroll and acanthus mounts on bracket feet, the maroon body with enamelled floral border to the front and gilt detailing throughout, surmounted by a figure of a Turk on a rearing stallion on a naturalistic base, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and signed 'Guyerdet Jne, A Paris', the twin train movement with outside countwheel and silk suspension, striking the full and half hours on a bell, signed 'GUYERDET JNE, A PARIS' and numbered '1252', lacking pendulum, 46.5cm x 29.5cm.
