SIX CHINESE 'FAMILLE ROSE' POLYCHROME-PAINTED PORCELAIN SAUCERS MADE FOR THE IRANIAN EXPORT MARKET
Possibly Guangdong (Canton), China, late 19th - early 20th century

Each of shallow rounded shape, resting on very thin circular feet, with gently everted rims, each one painted in shades of pink, blue, orange, green, and red against a white ground, each interior slightly different, repeating a variety of floral motifs including rose bouquets, vegetal festoons, cartouches with fish-scale pattern, fretwork bands and concentric circles, the exteriors plain, the largest 16cm diam.
