Artists & Caricaturists.- A selection of cards and letters signed by prominent 20th century British artists, some addressed to Peter Threadgold, various sizes. Highlights including: Beryl Cook (two Gallery Five cards featuring works by Cook, one saying "I have now illustrated more books for the Folio Society-  "The Loved One" by Evelyn Waugh. I don't know what authors would write of this, had they known, but I certainly enjoyed doing it"), Laura Knight, Norman Thelwell (signed Christmas card), Carl Giles (cards and typed letter signed), Reg Smythe (ink signature on a sheet of with an Andy Capp strip affixed onto top), Kathleen Hale (autograph letter signed saying in part "at last I have a period of peace in which to thank you for your wonderful letter, which I shall keep. When it arrived I was overwhelmed by my new agent's needs for data and agreements relating to my former publishers - some dating  back to 1938"). (small quantity)
