label (verso) for Christian Lamm, 36 Earls Court Road, Kensington (1878-1908), Fine art carvers, gilders, picture and looking glass framemakers.

One of Christian Lamm's notable clients was George Frederick Watts (1817-1904) himself. Late in life, G.F. Watts used the framemaker by the name of Lamm who is mentioned in his correspondence in 1899 and 1903 (Jacob Simon/NPG 1996 p.173, n.2).
