A VILLANOVAN IMPASTO-WARE URN Circa 8th Century B.C. The bulbous body decorated on each side with a central conical protrusion, surrounded by raised concentric ring motifs, surmounted by a slightly tapering columnar neck, with a flat circular rim incised with concentric circles, a strap handle joins at the bottom of the neck and the shoulder and a horizontal loop handle opposite, possibly not belonging, the vessel stands on a flared pedestal foot, also possibly not belonging, 40.8cm high.  Provenance: Private collection, acquired in London in 1950s - 1960s.
Estimated at £3,000 - £4,000
