The shallow rounded sides sat atop a gently tapering foot and rising to an everted rim, the interior painted with two birds battling in the air as several others look on from the branches of a flowering prunus tree, encircled by a border of prunus and lotus flowerheads on a ground of swirls, 28.5cm diameter.
