Comprising five muraqqa-style album pages, opaque pigments heightened with gold, pencil and black ink on paper, each page decorated with the typical Persian bazm (feast) motif in a garden setting, all compositions similar with minor variations, filled with dancers, acrobats, inebriated courtiers drinking, poets reading and debating, each border a testament to the long-standing tradition of Persian conviviality and Safavid-revival paintings, the recto plain, each folio taped to the other in a screen-like fashion, each album page 31cm x 19.5cm.
