AN ANTIQUE QASHQAI RUG, SOUTH-WEST PERSIA, approx: 223cm. x 121cm. Classic design with three bold linked pole medallions containing hooked lozengs surrounded by simialr motifs. Good colour combination, bold appearance. This rug has slight wear to the top pile, down to knot collar in places, otherwise good pile. Selvages original, sighty fraying on wool cord in places. Ends with original kilim and fringes. One end with additional checkered skirt. In general this rug is in good usable condition. Very good example for this type. Attractive and good furnishing piece. Woven on wool foundation.
