Ottoman Syria, late 19th - early 20th century

Of hexagonal shape, resting on three volute-shaped bracketed feet, the table top carved with concentric bands of knotwork and vegetal sprays, in the centre a mother-of-pearl-inlaid six-pointed star, similar motifs carved along the tall legs, enhanced with openwork lattice work in the style of mashrabiya windows, mother-of-pearl-inlaid roundels and polylobed open arches just below the table top, 100cm x 44.5cm.
