A LATE 18TH CENTURY FRENCH BRONZE FIGURE AFTER THE ANTIQUE OF THE FAUN WITH KID the faun supporting a baby goat on his shoulders, raised on a square, naturalistic base with chiselled surface and cast with a tree stump, dark brown patination with light brown high points,  42cm high This bronze is modelled after the Roman original marble which was discovered in Rome in 1675. It is now in the collection of the Prado.
