An early 20th century Burmese unmarked silver bowl, Rangoon circa 1930

Of compressed circular form, the body with embossed decoration of jataka scenes, including an elephant and a chinthe, all within architraves reserved with foliate scrolls. The underside of vignettes with a chased lattice work border above a band of stylised acanthus leaves. The upper section with a concave band chased with foliate scrolls between simple chased borders. The underside plain.
