TWO SMALL COPPER-INLAID BRASS DISHES Possibly Iran, 12th century Of circular form, the flat rims connecting to the centre with an oblique crenelated cavetto, an interlinking hexagonal stars with a stylised flower to the centre, the rim engraved with calligraphic bands with the declaration of faith in Arabic within six cartouches, 34cm diameter, 3cm high; and another similar, smaller, 28cm diameter, 2.5cm high.
