λ AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY PATINATED AND COLD PAINTED BRONZE ORIENTALIST FIGURE OF A MAIDEN RIDING A CAMEL, AFTER A MODEL BY GEORGES MORIN (GERMAN 1874 - 1950), ca.1930s

Modelled as a striding camel with a maiden in Eastern dress holding a fan (loose) riding atop the red painted saddled hump, her bust and arms carved in ivory, the naturalistic base with a white painted camel skull, signed Morin, mounted on a white-veined black marble rectangular plinth base with chamfered corners, 38cm x 28cm.
