A SMALL HISPANO-MORESQUE COPPER LUSTRE-PAINTED POTTERY DISH
Post-Nasrid Spain, late 18th - 19th century
Of hemispherical shape with a thick rim, on a flattened plain base, the decoration consisting of a central, stylised copper lustre-painted rooster surrounded by floral spray motifs, outlined by two concentric bands and a thicker solid band of lustre around the rim, the back glazed and decorated with loose swirl-like strokes of copper lustre, 26cm diam.
