A mid to late 19^th century German 13 loth (812 standard) silver jug or ewer, Munich circa 1870 by Eduard Wollenweber

Of baluster form upon a shaped circular foot, an everted shaped neck with an acanthus capped double C scroll fluted handle. The body with flat chased decoration of rocaille, flower heads and lattice work reserves. Gilt interior. Marked underneath with 13 and WOLLENWEBER.

Eduard Wollenweber was court jeweller to King Ludwig II of Bavaria (1845-1886), supplied a table service around 1860.
