A MID-19TH CENTURY JACOB PETIT PORCELAIN CLOCK, depicting a figure dressed in Arabian clothing riding a grey spotted horse, holding spear rasied to spear a lion, to the right of the sculpture, with another figure beow. The horse and rider surmount the clock face, with spear raised aloft to spear the lion below. Beneath the clock another figure in arab dress lays oustretched with two pistols again pointed toward the lion to the right, who is coming from behind the clock face with mouth open. Both figures in Arab dress detailed heavily with gilt deatiling. The scene and clock is all mounted on a rocky outcrop. The whole scene is raised on a porcelin plinth of rococo design, with a painted panel to centre of Arabian figures on horseback charging mounted French officers. The base gilded with rococo scroll work. The clock face is signed 'A LA VILLA DE MADRID Calle de la Montera 22 MADRID', the Drum movement movement signed 'JACOB PETIT PARIS'.
