A mid-19th century German 13 loth (812 standard) silver sugar box (zuckerdose), circa 1860 marked J
Of rectangular bombe form upon four scroll cartouche feet. The hinged stepped lid surmounted by a detachable cast finial formed as a flower with a leaf calyx. Gilt interior. Lock present, key deficient. Marked underneath 13 and J only.
Length – 12 cm / 4.8 inches
Weight – 220 grams / 7.07 ozt
