A FINE ANTIQUE SENNEH RUG, WEST PERSIA

The light beige field with ovwral diagonal rows of large hooked and floral boteh, surrounded by small angular floral and leafy motifs. In sea blue-green border of stylised polychorome shaped floral panels and leaves between rust-red floral meander stylised boteh motif stripes. Outer barber-pole stripes, approx: 196cm. x 141cm. Very good type with very nice design and good colour combination. Bold appearance. This rug has slight wear to the pile, down to knot collar, otherwise good pile. Selvages rebound . Ends with short fringes, secured. In general this piece is in good usable condition. Attractive and very good furnishing piece.
