A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH 'BOULLE' STYLE TORTOISESHELL, CUT BRASS AND GILT BRONZE MOUNTED MANTEL CLOCK SIGNED 'DELETTREZ A PARIS' the case of waisted form with volute scroll mounts throughout terminating on bracket feet, finely inlaid with trellis-work and scrolling foliage, pierced lattice panels to both sides and below the dial backed with red silk, the glazed gilt repousse dial inset with ceramic Roman numerals, the centre of the dial with a profile bust of Louis XVI above a cartouche of  the triple Royal fleur-de-lys, flanked by triumphal groups of trumpets, swords and flags, the outer ring of the dial stamped with Arabic numeral denoting each of the sixty seconds, the bottom of the dial signed 'DELETTREZ PARIS', the twin train movement with outside countwheel striking full and half hours on a gong, signed both 'DELETTREZ A PARIS' and 'MEDAILLE D'ARGENT, Vincenti & Cie', also numbered '3274', the pendulum with matching number, 34cm high The movement is winding, ticking and striking when the hands are turned but not fully tested or guaranteed.
