An early 20th century Indian colonial silver ewer or covered jug, Bangalore circa 1910 by Cotha Krishniah Chetty (est. 1869)
In the George III style, of baluster form upon a spreading domed circular foot with a gadrooned rim, a rattan covered C scroll handle, leading to a domed hinged lid of conforming shape surmounted by a detachable wooden knop finial. Marked underneath C. KRISHNIAH CHETTY, BANGALORE, SILVER.
