A late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver rose water sprinkler (gulab pash), Cutch circa 1870

Raj period. The globular body upon a short cylindrical pedestal foot. The detachable tall baluster stem terminating in a chased foliate terminal. Decorated throughout with deep chased rosettes and foliate scrolls against a textured ground, the junction below screw thread formed an alternating lobed and ribbed section, repeated to underside of globular section. The foot edge with chased repeating lozenges. Gilt underside.
