A late 18th century German unmarked silver sugar basket circa 1780
Navette form, upon an oval pedestal foot, a die rolled acanthus leaf rim, the body pierced decoration of acanthus scroll above loop, each with a vacant cartouche. Cast and applied lion masks to each end. A detachable loop swing handle. Fitted with a blue glass liner.
