A FRENCH AIGULLES ROCOCO REVIVAL ORMOLU MOUNTED MANTEL CLOCK, CIRCA 1860S, with a cast and pierced swing handle over a bevelled glass viewing window, set into a domed top with reclining putti holding a shield to the front and back, cornucopia to the sides, the clock with cobalt blue porcelain panels painted en grisaille with putti and symbols of the arts, the case cast with scrolling uprights supporting seated putti, adorned with C scrolls and garlands of flowers, on scrolling acanthus leaf mounted feet, the enamelled chapter ring with gilded Roman numerals, over an alarm dial with Arabic numerals, with repeating movement, the back with sliding bevelled glass panel, the brass stamped 'Aiguilles' and 'ATG III RFIV***', with key.
