A GERMAN MONTBLANC MEISTERSTUCK 'MASTERPIECE' FOUNTAIN PEN

A GERMAN MONTBLANC MEISTERSTUCK 'MASTERPIECE' FOUNTAIN PEN, the black cap and barrell with gilt banded highlights and 14ct two tone gold nib numbered 4810, stamped 585, piston filling system with signature Montblanc logo to cap, length 14.5cm

Overall the pen is very worn and used. The barrel is worn and displays a large amount of scratching, some quite deep. The ink window is very stained and the barrel feels a little mis shapen. The screw cap to the filling system is inscribed F- and 149. The gilt/gold coloured ring is a little rubbed but bright. It is slightly raised rather than flush with the body. There do not appear to be any splits to the resin. The nib is very dull and worn through daily use.

The cap is split in three places to the aperture, the splits branching up to the ring. The central gold ring has two silver coloured bands either side, one is missing, the one closest to the aperture. The cap is also very slightly misshapen and the montblanc logo to the tip is very yellowed.
