Qajar Iran, one dated 1197 AH (1782), the latter 19th century

Arabic and Persian manuscripts on paper, comprising a folio with Sura al-Fatiha (1), and Sura al-Ikhlas (112), 8ll. to the page of naskh script in black ink, the text within gold cloudbands, black diacritic marks, gold rosette verse markers, signed Muhammad …, dated 1197 AH (1782), set within gold and blue rules, within a narrow blue margin, laid on pink paper, the text panel 15.5cm x 10.2cm, 32cm x 21cm including the frame; and another folio with a chalipa ruba’i poem in Persian regarding the worth of pure wine, 8ll. of black ink nasta’liq script, the text grouped within gold cloudbands, the top and bottom lines in bolder pen, signed Muhammad Hossein al-Hakkak al-Shirazi, set within triple borders with polychrome and gold illuminations, mounted, framed and glazed, the text panel 17.2cm x 8cm, 45.7cm x 35.3cm including the frame.
