A POLYCHROME ENAMELLED DIAMOND-SET RING
Jaipur, Rajasthan, North-Western India, first half 19th century
Designed as a flowerhead, five diamonds flanked by light coloured emeralds and ruby, the reverse and the circular gold shank enamelled in Jaipuri meenakari palette (white, green and red), decorated on the shank, and underside of the ring with a figure of a bird, the head 2cm x 2.5cm, the shank 1.9cm diam.
