A NEAR EASTERN SHALLOW SOAPSTONE RELIEF Possibly 1st Millennium B.C. An unusual relief carved in pale stone, depicting a nude winged figure with arms raised, possibly in a gesture of prayer, before a tall column, a column of pseudo-cuneiform text between, 9.8cm high. Provenance: French private collection.
