Of typical cylindrical shape, with a wide everted circular rim, the exterior decorated with chased silver figural decoration including three riders on horseback in a hunting parade, one slaying a boar, another striking a Parthian shot at a lion, a third rider wearing courtly attire and a princely crown raising his hand in the gesture of throwing a spear at something, surrounded by plenty of animals such as deer, birds, rabbits, gazelles and boars, all against dark cobalt blue enamelled ground, a band of scrolling rosette sprays near the base, 7.3cm diam. and 7cm high.
