Balbi (Girolamo) Ad Carolum 5. impe. de coronatione, FIRST EDITION, lacking π1-2 (title and index), one small woodcut initial, light browning, a little spotting, reinforcement at gutter of one leaf, later quarter vellum, soiled, ex libris of Costanzo Maria Zinelli, and extensive Latin annotations to free endpapers and pastedowns by his own hand, [not in Adams], 4to, G. B. Faelli, Bologna, 1530. *** Balbi (1450-1530) was a Renaissance Humanist, poet, diplomat, and Bishop of Gurk in Carinthia. He was a pupil of Julius Pomponius Laetus, the founder of the Roman Academy.  Provenance. Costanzo Maria Zinelli (1746-?), antiquarian and bibliophile from Brescia (see 'Biblioteca Queriniana', E.I.7, 'Serie e fatti dei 62 vescovi di Brescia estratti da Costanzo Maria Zinelli').
