A late 19th century Anglo - Indian unmarked silver box or tea caddy, Cutch circa 1890
Raj period, of elongated octagonal form with a stepped hinged lid. The body with embossed foliate scrolls populated with animals such as a lion attacking an antelope, birds and a dog chasing a hare. The lid centred with a vacant rectangular cartouche reserved with foliate scrolls and acanthus leaf borders.
