SIX OTTOMAN PIPE MOUTHPIECES Ottoman Turkey, 19th and 20th century Comprising one baluster-shaped resin mouthpiece of dark colour, inset with green and red stones; and five silver mouthpieces with ivory, amber and resin pommels, three with niello floral and vegetal decoration and Sultan Abdul Hamid II's tughra (r. 1876 - 1909) on two of them, the remaining two with filigree and stippling decoration, 18cm the longest.
