A set of six mid-19th century Indian colonial silver tablespoons, Calcutta 1850 by Lattey Brothers & Co (active 1843-55)
Fiddle, Thread and Shell pattern, double struck, engraved to the front with a crest of a boar's head erased, surmounted by a plume of three ostrich-feathers, all above the initials W.Y.S in gothic script. Each marked with LB&Co, a lion passant and a capital B, and an annulet tally mark. (2)

The crest is for Siddons
Almost certainly for William Young Siddons (1832-1901), born in Calcutta, the son of William Richard Young. Recorded in London Gazette as cadet 1851, Lieutenant 1867, Lt. Col. 1877, and Col. 1879.
