A mid-19th century Indian colonial silver christening mug, Madras circa 1845 by George Gordon & Co (active 1821-48)

Of octagonal baluster form upon an octagonal foot, with C scroll handle and a moulded rim. The body with engraved decoration of foliate scrolls and foliage, a vacant erased cartouche to the front. Gilt interior. Marked underneath G&Co only.
