A late 19^th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver covered milk or cream jug, Cutch circa 1880

Raj period, of tapering oval form, a short spout opposite a chased and wrought double C scroll handle, leading to a hinged disc lid surmounted by a cast, and chased lion passant finial. One side with a vacant shield shape cartouche, otherwise with chased foliate scrolls and rosettes between acanthus leaf bands.
