The abrashed dark blue field with horsmen figures, animals, jewelerry and hooked S-motifs around three Ivory and rust indented medallions, each containing hooked bars, serrated palmettes and rosettes. Linked rust spandrels with serrated palmettes and animal figures. In an ivory border of stellar flowerhead, panel and angualr vine between subnburst rosettes, hooked motifs and arrovehead striopes, Outer barber-pole and plain stripes, approx: 5ft.3in. x 3ft.10in.(160cm. x 117cm.) Very good example for this type with well drawn design and good colour combination.This rug has localized wear to the pile down to knot collar, showng dot like warps in places. Black is slightly corroded. Ends with short fringes,minute loss to the outer guard stripe, all secured. Selvages original with touches of fraying. Few small old repairs. In general this rug is in fair usable condition. Despite imperfections, this rug still retains a classic look.
