A ROMAN BRONZE BOAR PROTOME Circa 2nd - 4th Century A.D. Naturalistically carved, the boar with large forward facing pricked ears, wide alert eyes, a long snout with two small upward curving tusks, the forelegs tucked below the head, the body covered in bristles portrayed by rough linear incisions, 7cm long, Provenance: Acquired in the 1990s on the German art market.
