A MADE-UP CHINESE YELLOW-GROUND BROCADE 'DRAGON' ROBE. Qing Dynasty, 19th Century. The textile woven with eight scaly dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls of wisdom amidst clouds and auspicious objects above stylised waves, fastened to the front with four glass buttons, incorporating earlier elements of orange lining border, 176 x 131cm.
