A pair of silver gelatin prints depicting Italian beefcake actor Bovo Disma, c.1960s, each measuring 150 x 105mm and 135 x 105mm, typewritten captions verso, the larger 'Bovo Disma at the Forum Romanum in Rome' and the smaller 'Bill Stevens, editor of Forza & Salute, Guy Mierszuk, Bovo Disma'.
‘Forza & Salute’ (Italian for ‘Strength & Health’) was one of the earliest magazines devoted to bodybuilding and fitness; until the late 1960s, it was the most popular weightlifting magazine in the United States.
